Gerry Roche

Heidrick & Struggles
Gerry Roche is the Senior Chairman of the executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles.
In his early career Mr. Roche was an Account Executive for the American Broadcasting Company, a Sales Manager, Product Manager and Marketing Director for Mobil Oil Company's plastics subsidiary, Kordite Corporation, and a Management Trainee at AT&T.
Following his time at these organizations Mr. Roche joined Heidrick & Struggles, where he has remained for more than 40 years. Joining the company in 1964, he became Senior Vice President and Eastern Manager in 1973. Four years later he became Executive Vice President, responsible for all domestic operations.
A year later Mr. Roche became President and CEO. In 1981 he moved into the Chairman's role, permitting him more time to conduct high-level international search work.
Thirteen years later Mr. Roche co-founded Heidrick & Struggles' Office of the Chairman with John Thompson.
Over his time at the firm Mr Roche has conducted CEO searches for companies including 3M, IBM, The GAP, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Chubb Corporation.
In addition, he is on the Boards of the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America.
