What is:

Live bookmarks makes it possible for you to save the pages you are visiting on Henley, either for later reading or you can send them to a friend.

Save or Send:

Biography

Jimmy Wales is the founder of Wikipedia, the free open-content encyclopedia.

From 1994 to 2000 Mr. Wales was the Research Director at Chicago Options Associates, a futures and options trading firm in Chicago. In 2000 he started the open-content encyclopedia Nupedia. In 2001 he founded Wikipedia, a free, online encyclopedia that anyone can edit.

Mr. Wales is the Chairman of Wikimedia Foundation Inc., a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to encouraging the growth, development, and distribution of free, multilingual content. He is the Cofounder of Wiki, Inc., a wiki farm that includes collection of wikis on different topics, all hosted on the same site.

He is a Fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School and a Director of Creative Commons, a nonprofit licensing organization.

In 2006 Mr. Wales was named as one of Time magazine's people who shape our world, and in 2007 he was named as a Forbes magazine Web celebrity.
