Biography

Peter Lacy is Head of Sustainability at Accenture, a worldwide leader in consulting, technology, and outsourcing services. He is also Special Adviser and Joint Lead on Climate Change at the European Academy for Business in Society.

Mr. Lacy sits on a number of boards, steering councils and advisory groups, including the European Commission Multistakeholder Forum on CSR, The European Alliance for CSR, AccountAbility, United Nations' Principles for Responsible Management Education, Tomorrow's Global Company Inquiry, U.K. Department of Trade and Industry Steering Group on the U.K. CSR Academy, University of Cambridge Programme for Industry, Corporate Governance and Journal of Corporate Citizenship, European Commission's European Platform for Excellence in CSR project, INSEAD "Response" research project, Cranfield School of Management Doughty Centre for Corporate Responsibility, and Stakeholder Panels for BP, Coca-Cola, Exxon, Vodafone, Unilever, GE, and Motorola.

Before joining Accenture's Strategy Group, Mr. Lacy was a Senior Adviser at the management consulting firm McKinsey and Company on Business in Society and Executive Director of the European Academy for Business in Society for five years.

Mr. Lacy is an alumnus of the INSEAD International Executive Programme. He graduated from the University of Nottingham.
